ABD serves 156,882 people during 2021, 25% more than in the previous year

We have become one of the first third-sector social entities to receive the international certification of achievement of the United Nations SDGs

The 2021 Anual Report and Social Balance of the ABD Welfare and Development Association is now available. A year that has still been marked by the health, social and economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. A year in which we have begun to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but in which we still live in a very delicate scenario.

The action of the ABD Group in 2021, we are Third Sector

ABD’s social action is transversal, because we are together with people and communities that live in situations as diverse as intellectual disability, health and mental health problems, lack of basic goods- such as housing or energy-, sexist violence or child abuse, the simple fact of ageing or migrating to another country, drug use, discrimination based on gender, ethnicity or origin, or lack of access to services or work.

During 2021, at the ABD Group we have served 156,882 people through 137 services and programs, 25% more than in 2020. This task has been possible thanks to the work of 1,686 professionals and 504 volunteers and collaborators. We have woven a network with more than 120 entities and platforms from the administration and the Third Sector. In addition, we have executed 10 international projects with 17 countries to promote knowledge exchange and social innovation.

Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals

Our purpose is to contribute to the strengthening of people, groups and communities that suffer exclusion processes, enhancing their capacities and defending their rights. We believe in the need to develop common strategies, which is why we have reinforced our commitment to align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Years ago we acceded to the 2030 Agenda and this year we have become one of the first entities of the third social sector that has received the international certification of achievement of the United Nations SDGs granted by the IFGICT.
